THE COACHES

IronLab is led by coaches with competitive swimming backgrounds and a shared belief in structured, sustainable endurance training.

Filip Zelić IronLab triathlon coach and former elite swimmer

FILIP ZELIĆ

Filip holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and brings years of elite-level swimming and coaching experience into endurance sport.

As a former member of the Croatian National Swimming Team, he held national records in the 400m freestyle (3:47 SC) and 200m butterfly (1:59 LC), developing a strong foundation in technical precision and structured training methodology.

His transition into long-distance triathlon led him to complete his first Ironman Lisbon in 10:08, gaining direct experience of the physical and mental demands of long-course racing.

Filip’s coaching focuses on intelligent progression, technical efficiency, and long-term athlete development - building performance through structure and durability.

Filip Husnjak IronLab triathlon coach and open water swimming specialist

FILIP HUSNJAK

Filip holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and brings his background in open water swimming into endurance sport. Throughout his swimming career he raced every distance from 50m to 16,000m, quickly realizing that longer efforts suited him best.

Because long distances were his strength, he skipped sprint and Olympic triathlon and went straight into half and full distance racing. He completed his first half-distance triathlon as his debut, followed by a full Ironman the next year, turning a childhood dream into reality.

As a coach at IronLab, Filip focuses on simple structure, technical efficiency, and steady progression. His goal is clear: build durable, strong athletes who perform with confidence on race day.
